As the weather warms up and the sun starts to shine more often, try get outside for 30minutes a day to get your vitamin D fix. When our skin is exposed to the the sun, the suns ultra violet rays hit the cholesterol in our skin cells which provides energy for synthesis of vitamin D to happen.

During the winter months supplementation is needed of this important vitamin as with the colder weather we are all wrapped up in warm clothes leaving little skin showing to absorb vitamin D. The sun is also further away from the earth.
