Weekly Tip - How to activate nuts and why you need to do it!

I always recommend activating nuts to clients - it removed the phytic acid and makes all the nutrients in the nuts more absorbable.

To active a cup full of nuts simply

• Add one teaspoon of salt to filtered water. Make sure you have enough water to cover the nuts.
• Leave them to soak between 6-12 hours in a glass jar or bowl.
• Strain and rinse nuts.
• Spread them out onto a baking tray
• Preheat oven to no more than 65 degrees
• Place nuts in the oven turning them occasionally
• They should be ready after 10 - 12 hours, delicious and crunchy!

This is a long process to go through - but once you have tasted the difference you will be hooked!
