Weekly Tip - How to wash your hands

Washing our hands is something we should all be doing regularly throughout the day, but since the out break of the COVID-19 it’s become even more important. Follow the steps below for making sure you are washing your hands correctly.

  • Wet your hands
  • Use a hand soap
  • Lather your hands with soap, clean between fingers, rings and under nails
  • Scrub your hands with the soap for 30 seconds
  • Rinse with clean water
  • Dry with a clean towel or air dryer
  • Apply hand sanitiser with an alcohol content of 60% alcohol. Massage into hands and let it dry for 30 seconds

Have a look at the black light photo shared online. It shows the amount of bacteria that is still left on our hands after a quick rinse of our hands vs a proper wash! If that doesn't get you washing your hands for longer - I don’t know what will!!
