Following on from my last post about activating nuts and seeds I activated pumpkin and sunflower seeds - here is what I did with them.
Recipe
2 cups oats
1 cup mixed activated seeds
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon mach powder
1/2 cup FSC linseeds
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup goji berries
1 cup activated buckwheat
1/2 quinoa
5 tablespoons coconut oil
3 tablespoons honey
Method
Pre heat the over to 120degrees
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Melt the coconut oil on a low heat - add the honey and stir together.
Poor coconut oil and honey mixture over dry ingredients and mix it in well.
Tip the mixture on top of a baking paper in a shallow tin.
Put in the oven for 20mins
Once out stir the mixture slightly and leave too cool.
Store in a glass jar.
One thing to remember with Granola, even though it is homemade, natural and full of goodness - it is also full of calories! So i don't recommend more than a couple of table spoons on top of some greek yoghurt for breakfast in the morning.
